Business at Lunch with Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pauline Medrano

SCBA kicked off 2010 with its first meeting of the year at Woodview Towers on January 19th. Over 100 SCBA members and guests gathered to hear Ms. Medrano discuss "What's New & What's Next in the Stemmons Corridor." Did you know that in 2008 the Stemmons Corridor captured more than $148 million in permits- more than 5% of the value of all permits issued or completed within the City of Dallas for the year? Guests learned about some of the exciting developments in the Southwestern Medical District, the DART Green Line expansion (with stations in our own backyard opening as soon as December 2010), reduced crime rates and the important October 13, 2014 date which is when the Wright Amendment will be fully repealed at Dallas Love Field Airport. SCBA would like to thank our generous sponsor, DARBY Real Estate Services for providing lunch for everyone in attendance. If you are interested in sponsoring a future SCBA event please contact
